Launched in 1968 by B & C Records, Action Records was one of the very first British labels totally dedicated to US soul releases from the like of Arctic, Swan, Gamble Duke and Peacock. The label released tracks from the likes of The Olympics, Norman Johnson and the Showmen, Dee Dee Sharp, Eddie Holman, and also introduced us to Al Greene. Some of the top soul tracks, that we now have come to love over the years, were first released on this great label. Here are 40 of the very best, on two volumes that bring back lots of fantastic memories. This is were the Action is..............on the Action Label.
