MY GENERATION
One of the very best groups of the 1960s, Animals were formed when Eric Burdon and Hilton Valentine joined forces with The Alan Price Trio. The Tyneside outfit gained a hot reputation as a live act, & was taken on by failed pop star Mickey Most.. Their debut single "Baby Let Me Take You Home" entered the U.K charts at #21, this was soon followed by the #1 smash...."House Of The Rising Sun". Over the next couple of years the band had a string of hits, until Price left to form his own band. The hits still carried on into the 70s with different line-ups with Burdons gruff soulful voice, never loosing it's raw edge. Relive the great sounds.
