MY GENERATION
THE MOVE was formed during an after-
hours impromtu jam session at one of
Birminghams top venues the legendary
Cedar Club in February 1966. "Moving"
from the cream of the citys top bands
were Bev Bevan , Chris "Ace" Kefford
along with Carl Wayne of Carl & the
Vikings, Roy Wood who played with
The Nightriders, and finally Trevor
Burton from Danny Kings Mayfair
Set. Initially influence by Motown
and Soul Music, their stage show
delivered with 4 and somtimes
5 part harmonies, immediatley
settin them apart from other
all the other live group and
established a following on
the Mod Scene. They hold the great
distiction of being the first group to have one
of their song played on the brand new station, Radio1

The group had major chart success throught the 1960s and into the early 70s. having seven Top 10 hits, including a No1 with "Blackberry way". 1972 saw the group split to form Wizzard and E.L.O. but the memories still linger of the good old days when The Move was the buisness. here are 17 great tracks, hit singles and LP tracks, from by far Brums top group..THE MOVE.
